Student Survey

The survey: Student_Survey.htm

All students should provide me with the requested information.

A clarification on TA's lab hours

These are lab hours (office hours in the lab) that you may use if you need help, not lab sessions that you must attend. (You will work on lab assignments at your own pace.)

Indicate to the lab TA if none of the scheduled lab hours is available to you due to timing conflicts.  If you don't notify the TA, these will be the office hours for the rest of the term.

An important note: The lab TA just makes sure that you have no conflict that prevents you from using all TA’s lab hours.  Make sure that just some lab hours have no conflict with your schedule, so you can see the TA if you need to get help.

Notes on use of the security lab

Typically, there are two people assigned  per computer in the lab.  Coordinate the use of your assigned computer in the security lab (C-208) with another student assigned to the same computer.

Lecture Slides

Old versions of lecture slides

These slides are in most cases very similar to the slides I use in class. They can be viewed on the page: Slides and Announcements for  CS 5950: Computer Security and Information Assurance—Spring 2007.

This page includes also:

1) Information on free software for document conversion to the PDF format.

2) Midterm exam from Spring 2007 (contents of ours might differ, depending on what is covered in the lecture this time).

3) Links to example exams from even earlier offerings of this course.

New versions of lecture slides (as used in class)

Lecture slides will be emailed to the class
